Legislative Report This year,2008, is an election year. I am pleased to announce that Bill Starnes has agreed to be
the co-legislative officer and the point man for Gaston CBA's voter registration. Our goal is to register 100% of our members.
Voting is not only a privilege, it is an obligation! We will have voter registration materials at our meetings and events
all year. In order to vote in the May 6th Primary , you must be registered no later than April 11th. We strive to make
sure all our members are aware of which Senate and Representative district they are in. Maps of each district are on the Legislative
board at our meetings and posted on the website. Also you can call the Election Commission @-- Gaston

704-484-4858 Lincoln 704-736-8480 York
803-684-1242 Along with the Presidential race, there are many state and federal elections that are contested this year.
Of special interest to Gaston CBA is the 110th State Representative District. Debbie Clary is running for State Senate in
the 46th district, so there is no incumbent in her old House district. Through out the Year we will be inviting Candidates
to come to our meetings. CBA is a 501(c3) not-for-profit and therefore cannot actively support any one candidate or party.
